Blueberries are full of fiber, making them a perfect snack to stop hunger; their antioxidants have been shown to lower inflammation – known to be a major factor for obesity. In addition, they also contain catechins, like green tea, which increases fat burning, especially in abdominal fat cells. Blueberries are easy to prepare and add to anyone’s diet. If fresh blueberries are too expensive, look for frozen bags in your supermarket’s freezer section.
Try this delicious smoothie to add blueberries to your day!
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 handful fresh blueberries
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- Optional: Stevia or 1 tablespoon raw honey
Add all ingredients to your high speed blender and blend until creamy.
